Balsall & Berkswell Hornets FC Under 15`s Fixture Result and Report

Date Type Team S v S Team
18/10/2009 League Balsall u15 3 v 1 Warwick Jnrs

A reshaped Balsall met Warwick for the second time this year and following a ten minute settling in period began to grow in confidence. Playing some excellent football and looking dangerous when they attacked Balsall took a deserved lead when Rhys's left foot strike went over the keeper and nestled into the back of the net. The rest of the half saw good combination work from Shaun and JJ on the left and Josh and JJ on the right. This resulted in several good chances that should have seen them take a comfortable lead into half time. Both defence amd midfield looked strong and determined whilst Jamie and Shaun were constantly causing problems. However Warwick always looked dangerous and from a corner a couple of minutes before half they equalised. Half time talked of continuing the good form of the first half. The second half began with both teams seeking to score the next vital goal which came Balsall's way with a truly excellent passing move that ended up with a deft touch from Jamie steering the ball past the keeper into the corner. As Warwick attacked Balsall continued to press them back with some really positive attacking play and from a corner the ball took a deflection in a crowded six yard box to end in the back of the net. In fairness Jack was hardly troubled but was excellent when called upon to pluck the ball out of the air following a good shot destined for the top corner.A great result for Balsall after some recent scorelines that didn't reflect the closeness of the games. Well done to all the players a fantastic result for a superb team performance.
