Away to taz this time in the cup and as i mentioned in the report when we played them last time thet taz would be much harder to beat with a full squad, i was right.
with taz dominating the early stages and going 1-0 up when we found ourselves not for the first time allowing taz through on goal and although dave simpson got his hands to it the ball ended up in the net. the hornets then started to play much better and got themselves back into the game james langton working hard to get into the box only to be brought down penalty, joe gardner steps up and levels the scores. soon after the hornets are awarded a free kick not far into the taz half and as he has done so many times from distance will dunn hits a belter straight into the taz net 2-1 h/t
second half and although we are creating chances we are not converting them and every time the home team attack the hornets struggle to deal with it especially when the ball has been in the air this allowed taz to equalise 2-2 the score remained the same for a while pretty much end to end the hornets having a great chance to seal it when jon buttrick got through one on with the taz keeper only for the keeper to save the shot.
this was to be our last real chance on goal and with taz themselves pushing for the winner yet another lofted ball in to our box from midfield gave us problems and again taz were through on goal dave again making himself big and getting a hand to the shot but couldn't stop the ball going in the net 3-2 and with about 2 minutes to go taz added a fourth with a similar effort 4-2 f/t
a dissapointing result for us especially as our defence has been solid before today
man of the match has to go to joe gardner showing great skill and determination in midfeld and taking a good penalty under pressure to get us back into the game at 1-1
