Volunteer Hub

At Balsall & Berkswell FC, we rely on a team of volunteers for everything from club chairperson to team coaches.

We have a wide range of opportunities available, so whether it is coaching, admin, welfare, referring, or social media – whatever your passion we would love to hear from you! It is hugely rewarding and great fun.

If you would like to get involved please get in touch!

Courses

The FA host a wide range of free online courses. As a minimum for any club coach/manager, we require them to complete the FA Playmaker course (which also includes basic first aid and safeguarding) which is the initial stepping stone onto the FA Level 1 Course. To complete this course, please visit The FA – Bootroom, Create a FAN, and complete the course.

All of our coaches are also required to hold a form of FA safeguarding qualification, if they have not completed the FA Playmaker course we recommend the FA Safeguarding For All Course.  You can find all the safeguarding courses on The FA Bootroom, including the Safeguarding Children Re-Certification.

DBS Checks

It is required that all volunteers, who have some involvement with children obtain a DBS check. Please see the guidance documents below for FAQs and how to process your DBS check.
